Unplanned Event: Network Tasman Fibre

8 August 2026 — 4:30 PM

The fault within the fibre network has now been repaired, and affected services are returning to normal.

Customers should begin reconnecting automatically. If your service has not returned, please turn your router off at the wall, leave it off for around one minute, then switch it back on.

We apologise for the disruption throughout the day and appreciate your patience while the fault was repaired.



8 August 2026 — 2:00 PM

A vendor technician has now arrived on site and is preparing to begin repairs to the damaged network component.

Work is expected to commence shortly. We don’t yet have a confirmed restoration time, but we’ll provide another update as soon as we have further information.

We apologise for the ongoing disruption and appreciate your patience.

8 August 2026 — 11:45 AM

Our network partner is working with the vendor to fix the damaged network component at the vendors facility.
An ETA is unknown at this stage.

8 August 2026 — 10:00 AM

A technician has identified a damaged network component at a facility as the cause of the outage affecting fibre services.

A fix is now being arranged, and a technician is en route to carry out the repair.

We’ll provide another update once repairs are underway or service has been restored.

We are currently investigating an issue impacting fibre services via Network Tasman

Network Tasman have dispatched a technician to investigate.

We’ll provide further updates as more information becomes available.
